Garmin POI Loader is an interesting free application which allows you to add points of interest to your GPS navigator, like the location of your favourite restaurants, service stations, campsites, shopping centres, etc. You can also receive alerts and notifications as you approach one of these places.

In addition, Garmin POI Loader also allows you to record areas where it's dangerous to exceed a certain speed, such as near schools and colleges, black spots on the road, or in areas controlled by safety cameras, and it will warn you when you approach these areas with a speed higher than recommended.
